We shoot smallbore (0.22 calibre) target rifles all year at our indoor range in St. Andrews. This involves firing 10 or more single shots at stationary targets.
Rifles are fired from the prone
position, over a distance of 20 yards.
In the summer, the Club shoots outdoors, firing competitions at 50 and 100 yards. Several members compete at the top level of British shooting events - Grand Prix Meetings and the Scottish and National Meetings.
New members are welcome to use Club equipment and will receive all necessary coaching, included as part of the membership fee.
A recent addition to the Club's
activities has been Air Pistol shooting.
This
discipline is shot from a standing position, over our 10 metre range. Existing
rifle shooting members may compete in air pistol events.
